SHAH ALAM - Tarik tali antara Kerajaan Negeri Selangor dan Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn. Bhd. (Syabas) mengenai penguatkuasaan pemberian air percuma bermula bulan ini akhirnya berjaya diselesaikan.
Menteri Besar, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim berkata, kesulitan berhubung masalah berbangkit sebelum ini telah diatasi selepas kedua-dua pihak mengadakan perbincangan di pejabatnya tengah hari semalam.
Sehubungan itu katanya, pemberian air percuma sebanyak 20 meter padu sebulan kepada pengguna domestik bermeter individu di negeri ini tetap dilaksanakan bermula awal bulan ini.
"Malah pengguna domestik bermeter individu itu akan mendapat bil baru bersama dengan rebat air percuma sebulan bermula Isnin 16 Jun ini.
"Bagi pengguna yang menerima bil sebelum tarikh itu akan dapat rebat bayaran untuk penggunaan 15 hari pertama di bulan ini di dalam bil bulan hadapan," katanya pada sidang media selepas mesyuarat Exco kerajaan negeri di sini.
Turut hadir termasuk Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Syabas, Datuk Ruslan Hassan dan Presiden Kumpulan Darul Ehsan Berhad (KDEB), Datuk Abdul Karim Munisar.
Menurut Abdul Khalid, salah faham sebelum ini timbul disebabkan kedua-dua pihak mahu mamastikan dengan lebih jelas berkenaan isu tersebut terutama mengenai pengeluaran bil itu.
"Ini kerana apabila kita bagi tahu 1 Jun dapat air percuma, maka timbul kekalutan kepada pengeluar bil kerana pada tarikh selepas itu ada pengguna menerima bil. Jadi timbul kekeliruan dalam pengiraan.
"Oleh itu, kata sepakat diperoleh dengan Syabas untuk kita beri rebat bayaran kepada pengguna yang terima bil sehingga 16 Jun ini dan akan dibayar KDEB," ujarnya.
Tambahnya, beliau menganggarkan kira-kira lebih satu juta pengguna akan mendapat manfaat daripada polisi baru itu dan kos akan ditanggung kerajaan negeri kira-kira RM11 juta sebulan.
"KDEB telah beri akur janji kepada kami untuk membayar kos terlibat bagi pihak kerajaan negeri dan mekanisme mengenai proses itu pengguna tidak perlu risau," ujarnya. KOSMO
